Texans Sign Brevin Jordan To One-Year Extension
The Houston Texans signed tight end Brevin Jordan (knee) to an undisclosed one-year contract extension on Thursday morning, according to a source. Jordan was poised for a breakout season in 2024 but tore his ACL in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears. With the extension in place, the Texans will look forward to having him back in 2025. The 24-year-old served as mostly a lead blocker in the first two games of the season behind pass-catching tight end Dalton Schultz, catching only two of his three ... [Read More]
Texans Place Brevin Jordan On Injured Reserve
The Houston Texans placed tight end Brevin Jordan (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, meaning Jordan will now have to miss at least the team's next four games. Jordan will be eligible to return to play in Week 7 on the road at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. It helps explain why the Texans signed former Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith to their practice squad on Tuesday. In the first two games of the season, Jordan caught only two passes on three targets for seven ... [Read More]
Brevin Jordan Doesn't See Any Work On Offense
Houston Texans tight end Brevin Jordan played just five total snaps, all on special teams, in the 25-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 of the regular season on Sunday. The Texans didn't score a single touchdown in Baltimore, with No. 1 tight end Dalton Schultz going for just two catches (four targets) for four yards. Fellow tight end Teagan Quitoriano caught his only target for an 11-yard gain. The 23-year-old Jordan didn't play at all in the preseason, either, due to a hamstring ... [Read More]
Brevin Jordan, Eno Benjamin Not Suiting Up Sunday
Houston Texans tight end Brevin Jordan and running back Eno Benjamin are both healthy scratches in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders. Jordan has just six catches for 32 yards through five games this season and is now inactive for the second consecutive week. Meanwhile, Benjamin is just a few days removed from his surprise release in Arizona. Evidently, he hasn't had quite enough time to learn the Texans' offense, so he'll sit out Sunday's game. Brevin Jordan A Healthy Scratch Against Giants
Houston Texans tight end Brevin Jordan is a healthy inactive in Week 10 against the New York Giants. It's a bit of a surprise after Jordan played 63 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the 22-year-old has just six receptions on 17 targets for 32 yards and no touchdowns in five games played in his second NFL season. Rookie Teagan Quitoriano scored his first career touchdown last week and is now in line for an expanded role at the position ... [Read More]
