Jets Claim Jelani Woods Off Waivers
The New York Jets claimed tight end Jelani Woods off waivers on Wednesday from the Indianapolis Colts, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Woods did not make the Colts' final 53-man roster heading into the 2025 season, and now he'll look to make his return to NFL action with the Jets for the first time since 2022. The 26-year-old will be competing for TE2 duties with Jeremy Ruckert in New York behind rookie first-rounder Mason Taylor. Woods, a former third-round pick (73rd overall) in ... [Read More]
Jelani Woods Projected As A Starter
The Athletic's James Boyd has Indianapolis Colts tight end Jelani Woods projected as the team's starting tight end in May because he remains bullish on his potential, despite the fact he was sidelined all of last year due to hamstring injuries. Jelani Woods Has Another Setback
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that tight end Jelani Woods (hamstring) had a setback with his other hamstring, and the team is unsure if he will play this season. The 25-year-old was placed on Injured Reserve before the Week 1 season opener. The Colts will roll on with Kylen Granson as their primary tight end in a crowded room... [Read More]

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jelani Woods caught two of his four targets for 28 yards in a 54-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. Woods finished third on the team in receiving yards in the blowout loss while his four targets tied for fourth. The rookie tight end had a breakout game in Week 12 but he was quieter against Dallas with Kylen Granson back in the fold after being inactive last week. Woods remains a solid stash in dynasty but will be tough to trust in a struggling Indy offense ... [Read More]
Jelani Woods Posts Dud In Week 7
Indianapolis Colts tight end Jelani Woods was expected to have a bigger game in Week 7. A report earlier in the week hinted that Woods would have a more opportunities in this offense. Clearly that didn't happen as Woods hauled in one of his two targets for four yards in the loss to the Tennessee Titans. His three targets were the most between the three tight ends on the roster. Despite that, it won't be enough to warrant rostering Woods in fantasy formats right now. [Read More]
