Cam Ward Takes All the First-Team Reps in First Practice
Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who was the first overall pick in this year's NFL draft, made his training camp debut on Wednesday and took all of the first-team reps, per ESPN's Turron Davenport. Now that Will Levis (shoulder) is out for the entire season while needing surgery on his right shoulder, Ward is firmly in line to start in his first year in the NFL. Back in OTAs and minicamp, the Titans used a rotation of Ward, Levis and Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle. The Titans ... [Read More]
Tim Boyle Back On Practice Field
Houston Texans quarterback Tim Boyle (finger) was back on the practice field at organized team activities on Thursday after missing time last week after getting stitches for a finger cut while taking a snap. Boyle will be competing for a roster spot this offseason and in training camp this summer. He's currently listed as the No. 4 QB on the Texans' depth chart behind C.J. Stroud, Davis Mills and veteran Case Keenum. It will be an uphill battle for the 29-year-old former undrafted free ... [Read More]
Texans Sign Tim Boyle To Their Practice Squad
The Houston Texans signed former New York Jets quarterback Tim Boyle to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to a source. The Texans made the move to add Boyle as QB depth after working him out earlier in the day. Boyle comes to Houston as more depth at the QB position behind veteran Case Keenum and Davis Mills after rookie first-rounder C.J. Stroud missed last week's overtime win over the Tennessee Titans due to a concussion. It's unlikely the 29-year-old will see the field for the Texans... [Read More]
Jets To Start Tim Boyle At Quarterback In Week 12
The New York Jets will start Tim Boyle at quarterback for their Week 12 matchup with the Miami Dolphins this Friday, according to a source. The Jets have seen enough of Zach Wilson, at least for the time being. Wilson flopped yet again in the team's 32-6 beatdown at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 on Sunday, with Wilson going 7-for-15 for just 81 yards, one touchdown and an interception for a QBR of 3.8. Boyle wasn't much better when he replaced Wilson in the second half, going ... [Read More]
