Tommy DeVito To Remain Giants Starter
New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy Devito had a rough game in the Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints and was sacked seven times, but the Giants plan to keep him as their starter under center heading into a Week 16 date with the Philadelphia Eagles next Monday night, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Daboll also said DeVito is sore but OK after having to leave the game briefly to be looked at by trainers. The 25-year-old is now 3-2 as a starter after going 20-for-34 for 177 yards ... [Read More]

The undrafted rookie completed just over half of his 27 attempts for a grand total of 86 yards. He also threw one interception and rushed ... [Read More]
Giants Expected To Roll With Tommy DeVito Under Center
With New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) now out for the year after tearing his right ACL in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Giants are expected to roll with undrafted rookie Tommy Devito as their starting QB. "He's a natural born leader. He's a true competitor and I have a lot of respect for him," head coach Brian Daboll said. Daboll also said he's not looking too far into the future at the QB position given Jones' injury, and the head coach's focus right now is ... [Read More]
Tommy DeVito Throws For Negative Yardage
New York Giants quarterback Tommy Devito was thrust into action in the first half with the injury to Tyrod Taylor (ribs) but the Giants' coaching staff clearly didn't trust the undrafted rookie to throw downfield. DeVito routinely handed the ball off to running back Saquon Barkley. When they did let the 25-year-old throw, passes didn't go further than the line of scrimmage. When the final whistle sounded, DeVito totaled negative one yard through the air. He did, however, score the Giants only... [Read More]
