Week 2 of the NFL season brought plenty of excitement and a few surprises for fantasy football owners.

Green Bay Packers 27, Washington Commanders 18: In the Packers’ big win over the Commanders, Jordan Love had a strong game, completing 19 of 31 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a 113.9 passer rating. His primary target was Tucker Kraft, who led all receivers with 6 catches for a game-high 124 yards and a touchdown, including an explosive 57-yard play. Josh Jacobs carried the ball a team-high 23 times for 84 rushing yards and scored a touchdown, providing a consistent ground presence for the offense. Jayden Daniels was a dual threat for the Commanders, leading the team in both passing and rushing yards — albeit tied with two of his running backs. He completed 24 of 42 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions. In the receiving game, Zach Ertz and Deebo Samuel were the primary playmakers, with Ertz leading the team with 64 yards and a touchdown on six catches, while Samuel also secured a touchdown on his seven receptions. The rushing attack was a shared effort with Austin Ekeler and Jacory Croskey-Merritt each tallying 17 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals 31, Jacksonville Jaguars 27: The Cincinnati Bengals had several key performers in the game. Ja’Marr Chase was the standout on offense, posting an impressive stat line with 14 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. Jake Browning took over at quarterback after Joe Burrow left the game with an injury and had an impactful performance. He completed 21 of 32 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions. He also contributed a key 1-yard rushing touchdown. Receivers Tee Higgins and Mitchell Tinsley also scored touchdowns, with Higgins grabbing a 42-yard touchdown pass. On the ground, Chase Brown was the Bengals’ leading rusher, carrying the ball 16 times for 47 yards. The Jacksonville Jaguars had strong offensive showings from several players despite the loss. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns, but his performance was marred by two interceptions. Wide receivers Parker Washington and Dyami Brown were his top targets, with Washington leading the team in receiving yards (76) on five catches and Brown catching a touchdown. Rookie Bhayshul Tuten also scored a receiving touchdown. The rushing attack was a group effort led by Travis Etienne, who ran for 71 yards on 14 carries, and Tuten, who added 42 yards.

Detroit Lions 52, Chicago Bears 21: The Detroit Lions showcased a powerful offensive performance with several key players contributing. Jared Goff was exceptional at quarterback, achieving a near-perfect passer rating of 156.0 by completing 23 of 28 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions. Amon-Ra St. Brown was his top target, catching nine passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns. The rushing attack was strong as well, with Jahmyr Gibbs leading the team with 94 rushing yards and a touchdown, while David Montgomery added 57 yards and a touchdown of his own. Additionally, Jameson Williams had a breakout game, hauling in two receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown, including a 64-yard play. The Chicago Bears had a few top performers despite a challenging game. Quarterback Caleb Williams completed 19 of 30 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. His primary target was wide receiver Rome Odunze, who had a breakout performance with seven receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, D’Andre Swift was the leading rusher, carrying the ball 12 times for 63 yards and scoring a rushing touchdown. The rushing attack as a whole was effective, totaling 134 yards at an average of 5.0 yards per carry.

Baltimore Ravens 41, Cleveland Browns 17: The Baltimore Ravens had a highly successful offensive showing, primarily led by quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson had an incredible performance, throwing for 225 yards and four touchdowns on 19-of-29 passing, resulting in a stellar 128.6 passer rating. His top targets were Zay Flowers, who led the team in receptions and receiving yards with seven catches for 75 yards, and DeAndre Hopkins, who was extremely efficient with two catches for 64 yards and a touchdown, including a 41-yard reception. Devontez Walker also had a standout game, scoring two touchdowns on just two receptions for 26 yards, while Tylan Wallace also added a receiving touchdown. The rushing attack struggled, gaining only 45 yards collectively, with Derrick Henry managing 23 yards on 11 carries. The Cleveland Browns had a few notable performers despite a tough game. Quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 199 yards and a touchdown, but his performance was hampered by an interception and a low completion percentage. On the receiving end, Jerry Jeudy led the team with 51 yards on four receptions, while Harold Fannin Jr. added 48 yards. The Browns’ two receiving touchdowns were scored by Cedric Tillman and Dylan Sampson. In the rushing game, rookie Quinshon Judkins had a solid debut with 61 yards on 10 carries, and Jerome Ford contributed 31 yards.

Dallas Cowboys 40, New York Giants 37 (OT): The Dallas Cowboys’ offense was led by several key players in this one. Quarterback Dak Prescott was a top performer, throwing for 361 yards and two touchdowns. His top receiver was CeeDee Lamb, who caught nine passes for 112 yards. Tight end Jake Ferguson also had a strong showing with nine receptions for 78 yards. On the ground, Javonte Williams was the standout, rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also contributed 33 receiving yards. Miles Sanders added another rushing touchdown. Wide receiver George Pickens and return specialist KaVontae Turpin also scored receiving touchdowns. The New York Giants offense was led by an exceptional performance from quarterback Russell Wilson, who completed 30 of 41 passes for 450 yards and three touchdowns. He finished the game with a 123.0 passer rating. His top target was wide receiver Malik Nabers, who had a breakout performance with nine receptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson also had a huge game, catching eight passes for 142 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, the rushing attack was a group effort, led by rookie Cam Skattebo, who had 45 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Buffalo Bills 30, New York Jets 10: The Buffalo Bills’ offense was consumed by the rushing attack in this game. Running back James Cook was the clear top performer, rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, including an explosive 44-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Josh Allen also made a significant impact on the ground, adding 59 rushing yards on six carries. Wide receiver Elijah Moore contributed a rushing touchdown as well. Through the air, the production was more limited. Wide receiver Joshua Palmer led the team with 47 receiving yards, while tight end Dalton Kincaid had four catches for 37 yards. The New York Jets had a difficult game on offense, with the passing attack struggling to find its rhythm. Quarterback Justin Fields was limited, completing just 3 of 11 passes for 27 yards before leaving the game with an injury. Tyrod Taylor came in and had a more efficient outing, completing 7 of 11 passes for 56 yards and the team’s only touchdown pass. The receiving game was led by Garrett Wilson, who had four catches for 50 yards, while Jeremy Ruckert caught the lone touchdown pass. On the ground, Justin Fields was the leading rusher with 49 yards, followed by Breece Hall’s 29 yards.

New England Patriots 33, Miami Dolphins 27: The New England Patriots’ offense was highlighted by a superb performance from quarterback Drake Maye and running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Maye was highly efficient, completing 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding a rushing touchdown. Stevenson was a dual-threat, leading the team in both rushing and receiving yards. He ran for 54 yards on 11 carries and also led all receivers with five catches for 88 yards, including a 55-yard reception. In the receiving game, Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins were the recipients of Maye’s touchdown passes. The Miami Dolphins had a strong passing performance from Tua Tagovailoa, who completed 26 of 32 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns. While his performance included one interception, he finished with a passer rating of 115.5. The receiving game was highlighted by a trio of players. Tyreek Hill led the team with six catches for 109 yards, and De’Von Achane was a major dual-threat contributor, catching eight passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen Waddle also had a productive game with five receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, the Dolphins’ rushing attack struggled to find its rhythm, with Achane leading the team with 30 yards on 11 carries.

San Francisco 49ers 26, New Orleans Saints 21: The San Francisco 49ers’ offense was propelled by a strong passing game and a few key performers. Quarterback Mac Jones had an excellent outing, completing 26 of 39 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, earning a 113.1 passer rating. His top target was wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who led the team with five receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown, including a long of 42 yards. Running back Christian McCaffrey was a dual threat, leading the team in rushing with 55 yards while also contributing significantly in the passing game with six catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. The New Orleans Saints’ offense was led by an efficient performance from quarterback Spencer Rattler, who completed 25 of 34 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions.  Wide receivers Rashid Shaheed and Juwan Johnson each caught one of Rattler’s touchdown passes, with Shaheed leading the team with a 39-yard reception and 52 yards total, while Johnson had 49 yards on five catches. Wide receiver Chris Olave led the team in receptions with six catches for 54 yards. In the rushing game, running back Alvin Kamara was the top performer with 99 rushing yards on 21 carries.

Seattle Seahawks 31, Pittsburgh Steelers 17: The Seattle Seahawks had several top performers in this game, with the rushing attack leading the way. Running back Kenneth Walker III was the most productive player on offense, amassing 105 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries. In the passing game, quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns, although he also threw two interceptions. His top targets were Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who led the team with eight catches for 103 yards, and Cooper Kupp, who added seven receptions for 90 yards. Tory Horton and AJ Barner each caught a touchdown pass. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense struggled, but a few players had notable performances. Running back Jaylen Warren was the most productive player, leading the team in both rushing and receiving yards. He rushed for 48 yards and caught four passes for a team-high 86 yards, including a 65-yard reception. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a difficult outing, throwing for just 203 yards and a touchdown while also tossing two interceptions. He did connect with DK Metcalf for a touchdown, which was the lone scoring pass of the game for the team. Kenneth Gainwell also had a decent game, contributing 20 rushing yards and 16 receiving yards.

Los Angeles Rams 33, Tennessee Titans 19: The Los Angeles Rams offense was led by a productive passing game and a balanced rushing attack. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 23 of 33 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns. His top receivers were Davante Adams, who caught six passes for 106 yards and a touchdown, and Puka Nacua, who had eight catches for 91 yards. The running game was a collective effort, with Blake Corum and Kyren Williams both playing key roles. Williams led the team with 66 rushing yards on 17 carries, while Corum was highly efficient, running for 44 yards and a touchdown on just five carries. Nacua also contributed a 45-yard rushing touchdown. The Tennessee Titans had a few standout performers on offense. Quarterback Cam Ward completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Tony Pollard was the top performer, carrying the ball 20 times for 92 yards. In the receiving game, Calvin Ridley led the team with 57 yards on three receptions, and rookie Elic Ayomanor had a notable performance, catching a touchdown pass and finishing with 56 yards on four catches.

Arizona Cardinals 27, Carolina Panthers 22: The Arizona Cardinals had a few strong performers in their victory. Quarterback Kyler Murray completed 17 of 25 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown. He also added 32 rushing yards on seven carries. The ground game was a collective effort, led by James Conner, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown. Trey Benson also contributed 14 yards on just three carries. In the receiving game, tight end Trey McBride was the most productive, with a team-high six receptions for 78 yards. Wide receiver Michael Wilson caught the team’s only receiving touchdown. The Carolina Panthers had a few standout performers on offense despite their loss. Quarterback Bryce Young had a strong second-half comeback attempt, throwing for 328 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was his top target, racking up 100 yards on six receptions. Wide receiver Hunter Renfrow had a notable day with seven catches for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Chuba Hubbard was a dual-threat, leading the team in rushing with 38 yards and adding a receiving touchdown.

Indianapolis Colts 29, Denver Broncos 28: The Indianapolis Colts had a strong offensive performance led by several key players. Quarterback Daniel Jones was efficient, completing 23 of 34 passes for 316 yards and a touchdown, while also scoring a rushing touchdown. The rushing attack was dominated by Jonathan Taylor, who had a massive game with 165 yards on 25 carries. He also caught a touchdown pass and finished with 50 receiving yards. In the receiving game, Tyler Warren was the top target, catching four passes for 79 yards, including a 41-yard play. Alec Pierce also had a significant contribution with 68 receiving yards, including a long of 44 yards, and Josh Downs added 51 yards on six receptions. The Denver Broncos had a balanced offensive attack with several players contributing. Quarterback Bo Nix had a strong performance, completing 22 of 30 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns, with just one interception. Wide receiver Troy Franklin was his top target, leading the team with eight receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. Running back J.K. Dobbins had a productive day on the ground, rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Marvin Mims Jr. and tight end Adam Trautman also caught touchdown passes from Nix.

Philadelphia Eagles 20, Kansas City Chiefs 17: The Philadelphia Eagles relied on their ground game, led by Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, to secure the win. Barkley was the top performer on offense, rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Hurts also scored a rushing touchdown, although his passing performance was more limited, with 101 yards on 15 completions. In the receiving game, DeVonta Smith led the team with 53 yards on four catches. The Eagles’ success came from their ability to run the ball and score on the ground, with both Barkley and Hurts finding the end zone. The Kansas City Chiefs had a tough offensive outing, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the team in both passing and rushing yards. Mahomes threw for 187 yards and a touchdown but was also intercepted once. He was the team’s top rusher with 66 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Tight end Travis Kelce was the leading receiver with 61 yards on four catches. However, the most explosive play through the air was a 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyquan Thornton, who finished with 59 yards on two receptions. The rushing attack struggled, with Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco combining for just 53 yards on 18 carries.

Atlanta Falcons 22, Minnesota Vikings 6: The Atlanta Falcons had a run-heavy offensive game, with Bijan Robinson as the clear top performer. Robinson was highly productive on the ground, rushing 22 times for a team-high 143 yards. Running back Tyler Allgeier also had a strong game, adding 76 yards on 16 carries and scoring the team’s only rushing touchdown. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. managed the game and was efficient when called upon, completing 13 of 21 passes for 135 yards. Wide receiver Drake London led the team in receiving yards with 49 on three catches. The Minnesota Vikings had a difficult game on offense, with quarterback J.J. McCarthy struggling in the passing game. He completed 11 of 21 passes for 158 yards, but threw two interceptions and was sacked six times. The top performer in the receiving game was Justin Jefferson, who had three catches for a team-high 81 yards, including a long of 50 yards. On the ground, the running back committee saw Jordan Mason lead the way with 30 yards on nine carries, while McCarthy also contributed 25 yards on the ground with a long of 16 yards.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20, Houston Texans 19: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense had a balanced performance with a strong rushing attack and several key contributors in the passing game. Running backs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White were the top performers, combining for 136 rushing yards and a touchdown. Irving led the team with 71 yards on 17 carries, while White was more efficient, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown on 10 attempts. In the passing game, quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns. His touchdown passes went to wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and wide receiver Ryan Miller. Mike Evans led the team in receiving yards with 56 yards, while Irving also contributed in the passing game with 50 receiving yards. The Houston Texans had a balanced offensive performance with several players contributing. Quarterback C.J. Stroud had a solid outing, throwing for 207 yards and a touchdown on 13 of 24 passing. The top performer on the ground was running back Nick Chubb, who rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Chubb also contributed in the passing game with 29 receiving yards. Wide receiver Nico Collins led the team with a touchdown and 52 receiving yards on three catches. Rookie running back Woody Marks had an explosive play, with a 37-yard reception.

Los Angeles Chargers 20, Las Vegas Raiders 9: The Los Angeles Chargers’ offense was driven by a highly efficient performance from quarterback Justin Herbert. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns, earning a stellar 122.8 passer rating. Wide receiver Quentin Johnston was a key playmaker, catching three passes for a team-high 71 yards and a touchdown, including an explosive 60-yard play. Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen also had a strong performance, catching five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. The rushing attack was a collective effort, with Herbert leading the team with 31 rushing yards. However, the ground game as a whole was unproductive. The Las Vegas Raiders struggled on offense. Quarterback Geno Smith had a difficult day, completing 24 of 43 passes for 180 yards and no touchdowns, while throwing three interceptions. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers was the most productive target, catching six passes for 68 yards. Rookie tight end Brock Bowers also had a decent outing, hauling in five catches for 38 yards. The rushing attack was led by Ashton Jeanty, who gained 43 yards on 11 carries.
