2024 Week 15 recaps, observations and reactions

Recaps, observations and analysis from around the fantasy football world in Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season.

Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen continued their dogfight for the MVP. Will Levis, in limited duty, looked like dog doo-doo. And Jared Goff might have had one of the best performances from a losing quarterback ever.

Rams 12, 49ers 6: The Rams eked out an ugly divisional victory over the 49ers. Matthrew Stafford threw for 160 while Kyren Williams rushed for 108. Puka Nacua caught 7 balls for 97 yards. Brock Purdy had 142 yards and an interception. Isaac Guerendo rushed for 57 yards. George Kittle caught 4 passes for 61 yards.

Chiefs 21, Browns 7: The Chiefs kept the train rolling with a much-expected victory over the Browns. Patrick Mahomes threw for 159 yards and 2 scores. Xavier Worthy had 3 rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 6 balls for 46 yards. Noah Gray and JuJu Smith-Schuster each caught a touchdown. “Bad” Jameis Winston showed up for the Browns with 146 yards and 3 picks. Dorian Thompson-Robinson came in and threw a fourth pick. Jerome Ford rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jerry Jeudy continued his tear with 11 receptions for 108 yards.

Bengals 27, Titans 27: The Bengals took down the Titans behind 271 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions from Joe Burrow. Chase Brown rushed for 97 yards and a score. Ja’Marr Chase caught 9 balls for 94 yards while Tee Higgins had 5 catches for 88 yards and a score. Brown added a receiving touchdown as well. Mason Rudolph threw for 209 yards, 2 touchdowns and a pick. Will Levis, meanwhile, had 89 yards and 3 picks. Way to go, Champ. Tony Pollard rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown while Tyjae Spears added a rushing score, plus 6 catches for 87 yards and a receiving touchdown. Chig Okonkwo caught 8 balls for 59 yards. Josh Whyle — oh, come on — caught 5 balls for 37 yards and a score.

Commanders 20, Saints 19: Jayden Daniels continued to sizzle in his rookie season, throwing for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 66 more. Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 65 yards. Terry McLaurin caught 7 balls for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. Something called an Olamide Zaccheaus had 3 receptions for 36 yards. Spencer Rattler threw for 135 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught 2 passes for 64 yards. Alvin Kamara added 4 receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Foster Moreau caught 4 passes for 39 yards and a score.

Ravens 35, Giants 14: Lamar Jackson threw for 290 yards and 5 touchdowns while rushing for 65 yards. Derrick Henry had a modest day with 67 rushing yards. Rashod Bateman caught 3 passes for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. Justice Hill, Mark Andrews, and Devontez Walker all added a touchdown. Tim Boyle — I guess that’s a real dude — threw for 123 yards, a touchdown and a pick in the loss. Devin Singletary had a rushing touchdown. Malik Nabers caught 10 balls for 82 yards and a score.

Cowboys 30, Panthers 14: Cooper Rush had 214 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in the Cowboys’ big victory. Rico Dowdle rushed for an incredible 149 yards. CeeDee Lamb caught 9 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Brooks and Jalen Tolbert — “two Jalens, wow!” — each caught a touchdown. Bryce Young had 219 passing yards, a touchdown and 2 interceptions. Chuba Hubbard rushed for 32 yards but also caught 4 passes for 17 yards. Jalen Coker — check your programs, I dunno — had 4 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. 

Jets 32, Jaguars 25: Aaron Rodgers threw for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Jets’ rare victory over the Jaguars. Rodgers also led the team in rushing with 45 yards. Breece Hall had 30 and a touchdown. Rodgers’ BFF, Davante Adams, caught 9 balls for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns. Garrett Wilson had 3 catches for 56 yards and a score. Mac Jones threw for 294 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the loss. Travis Etienne rushed for 65 yards and caught 4 passes for 20 more yards. Brian Thomas Jr. continued his stellar rookie campaign with 10 catches for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Strangely, Brenton Strange caught 11 passes for 73 yards.

Texans 20, Dolphins 12: C.J. Stroud threw for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns in Houston’s victory. Joe Mixon had just 23 rushing yards but caught 5 balls for 33 yards. Nico Collins had 4 catches for 17 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 196 yards, a touchdown and 3 picks in the loss. De’Von Achane had 41 rushing yards and added 7 catches for 35 receiving yards. Malik Washington caught 5 passes for 52 yards. Jonnu Smith hauled in 9 receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Broncos 31, Colts 13: Bo Nix threw for just 130 yards, but added 3 touchdowns and 3 picks. He led the team with just 23 rushing yards as well. Courtland Sutton caught 3 passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins both added touchdown receptions. Anthony Richardson threw for 172 yards and 2 picks plus rushed for 46 yards and a score in the loss. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 107 yards. Michael Pittman Jr. caught 6 passes for 58 yards.

Bills 48, Lions 42: Josh Allen continued his MVP candidacy with 362 passing yards and 2 touchdown passes, with 68 rushing yards and 2 more scores on the ground. James Cook rushed for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ty Johnson caught 5 balls for 114 yards. Khalil Shakir and Ray Davis both caught touchdown passes. Jared Goff threw for 494 yards and 5 touchdowns in the loss. Jahmyr Gibbs had 31 rushing yards and a score. He also caught 5 passes for 83 yards and another touchdown. Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 14 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown. Sam LaPorta hauled in 7 passes for 111 yards. Jameson Williams, Tim Patrick, and Dan Skipper each caught a touchdown.

Eagles 27, Steelers 13: Jalen Hurts threw for 290 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 45 yards and an additional score. Saquon Barkley rushed for just 65 yards. A.J. Brown caught 8 passes for 110 yards and a score. DeVonta Smith had 11 receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown. Russell Wilson threw for 128 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Calvin Austin caught 5 passes for 65 yards. Pat Freiermuth had 3 receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown.

Cardinals 30, Patriots 17: Kyler Murray threw for 224 yards in the Cardinals’ win. James Conner rushed for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 5 passes for 28 yards. Trey McBride caught 9 receptions for 87 yards — and still no touchdown. Greg Dortch had 60 yards on 3 catches. Drake Maye threw for 202 yards, a touchdown and a pick, and added a rushing touchdown in the loss. Rhamondre Stevenson had 69 rushing yards. Nobody really had any kind of impact in the passing game, except DeMario Douglas, who caught a touchdown pass.

Buccaneers 40, Chargers 17: Baker Mayfield had a huge game with 288 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Bucky Irving rushed for 117 yards. Mike Evans caught 9 balls for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jalen McMillan added 5 receptions for 75 yards and a score. Rachaad White had a touchdown catch as well. Justin Herbert threw for 195 yards, 2 touchdowns and a pick in the loss. Ladd McConkey had 5 receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Stone Smartt — WTF — had 5 receptions for 50 yards. Quentin Johnston caught 5 balls for 45 yards and a score.

Packers 30, Seahawks 13: Jordan Love threw for 229 yards and 2 touchdowns in Green Bay’s win. Josh Jacobs rushed for 94 yards and a score. Christian Watson caught 3 passes for 56 yards. Romeo Doubs had 3 receptions for 40 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jayden Reed caught 5 balls for 34 yards and rushed three times for 27 yards. Geno Smith threw for 149 yards and an interception in the loss. Zach Charbonnet had 54 yards and a touchdown. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 10 balls for 83 yards.

Vikings 30, Bears 12: Sam Darnold threw for 231 yards, a touchdown and a pick in the Vikings’ divisional victory. Aaron Jones rushed for 86 yards and a score and Cam Akers added 24 and a touchdown as well. Justin Jefferson caught 7 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Addison totaled 7 receptions for 63 yards. T.J. Hockenson caught 5 balls for 52 yards. Caleb Williams threw for 191 yards and a touchdown in the loss. D’Andre Swift had 79 rushing yards. Keenan Allen had 6 receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown. D.J. Moore finished with 8 catches for 46 yards.

Falcons 15, Raiders 9: Kirk Cousins finished with just 112 yards, a touchdown and a pick in Atlanta’s victory. Bijan Robinson had 125 rushing yards. Drake London caught 3 balls for 53 yards and a score. Kyle Pitts caught 4 passes for 28 yards. Desmond Ridder threw for 208 yards, a touchdown and two picks in the loss. He led the Raiders with 28 rushing yards. Jakobi Meyers caught 5 balls for 59 yards. Ameer Abdullah had 7 receptions for 58 yards and a score. Brock Bowers had just 3 catches for 35 yards.
